Greetings!
This month we complete our multi-month tour of Landlocked Colombian States by Geir Sør-Reime, this installment taking us to Tolima.
Our Yesterday in Mekeel’s & STAMPS selection is a 2010 article built around the U.S. 1928 Beacon Air Mail stamp, but with a considerable amount of information on the flights and the equipment. In this regard, I added some additional images, including that of a the landing / take off strip that pointed pilots in the direction of the next beacon!
New this month is a study from the 1940 Stamp Specialist on 19th Century Great Lakes Steamboats, again with images added. In similar fashion, we continue the Victorian Canada series we started last month, with a small bite from the book, liberally supplemented with images and related information.
For this month’s Fabulous Firsts, we bring back Hanover from 2012—with one additional image—as I try to pull together all of the German States first issues.
Enjoy!
